NEWS FROM THE BILLY GOATS CLASS:  The month of April was all about welcoming the season of spring and discovering paths to health and wellness.  We loved the sunshine, flowers, and rain that April bestowed upon us.  There wasn’t a rain boot in the school that didn’t find a puddle to jump in or a jacket that didn’t end up discarded on a bench.

While we had fun exploring the many ways to keep our bodies healthy with exercise, and full with good foods (the Billy Goat friends sure know how to fill a grocery cart!), we look forward to spending the weeks of May out in our gardens learning about the many plants and creatures that find homes there.

Amongst looking at birds, butterflies, and bees, we will be helping to transplant our growing vegetables into their gardens and taking care of our flowers by giving them generous amounts of water with our watering cans.  The Billy Goats are in charge of the gardens along the sidewalk by the Lower Maka and anything involving a watering can is a very serious job.

The school year has flown by and all of the Billy Goat friends have gotten so big!  We are happy to say that we can confidently say this school year has been fun, healthy, and full of learning.  We will be spending the last few weeks of school getting ready to say good-bye to old friends and looking forward to meeting new friends this summer!  ~Shannon and Sara
